Newave boards are manufactured from 36kg/m3 EPS foam, fiberglass and epoxy resin.
The Newave fastening system is made from PA12, a high-performance polyamide specially designed for applications requiring excellent mechanical strength. It is a material similar to nylon, used for fishing nets in particular.
Fiber patches ensure bonding and stress transmission between the various board components.
The boards are strong and durable, and accompany the surfer on every surf trip!
Ready to assemble your board in a jiffy?
Find out in just a few simple steps how to assemble your Newave board. Fast, easy and tool-free.
Let’s get started!
Between stability and responsiveness, the Newave 6’6 offers surfers an excellent compromise between comfort and performance.
The board’s large volume and the fact that it’s big enough for a shortboard make it easy to paddle.
The pronounced rocker at the front is ideal for avoiding nose-diving in deeper waves.
Its balanced shape allows a good compromise between powerful, hollow waves and softer ones.
The fish tail is equipped with 5 plugs, offering a fin system that can be modulated according to the nose with which it is combined.
We recommend surfing the 6’6 in thruster and the 5’10 lazy fish in quadro.
Starting with the 6’6 shortboard, you can complete your quiver by purchasing two nose pieces:
part 4 (mini-malibu nose) for a 5’10 Lazy Fish, a board that complements the 6’6 for deeper waves up to 1.50 m.
Part 6 (longboard nose) for a Long Fish.
With these two additional noses, you can transform your 6’6 into a truly modular and complete range of shortboards.
To begin with, our boards are intrinsically environmentally friendly, since they allow you to choose more virtuous means of transport: 1000km by car avoided and the board is carbon neutral!
Secondly, we have thought through our design to reduce the carbon impact of manufacturing as much as possible. Unlike most boards, our process ensures there’s no waste. We use molded polystyrene foam blocks: no superfluous material is produced, which is not the case with most boards, which are machined from a block.
When you order your board, you’ll receive a backpack compatible with all Newave boards.
You can put your board, your wetsuit and all your little belongings in it.
Once the side straps are tightened, everything is compacted and nothing moves, preventing damage to the board during transport.
With your backpack, you also get several separators to prevent friction between the different pieces of your board.
Our Newave dismountable boards have won over a diverse community of surfers at all levels. Since summer 2023, these boards have been put to the test on various waves, proving their performance and robustness.
