We’ve chosen partners that are in line with our vision: 100% made in France, short distribution channels and respect for the environment. Here’s a look at the first two companies we’ve teamed up with.
backsurf : the repairable leash Made in France
The Newave x Backsurf leashes are out! Made in France, they are assembled in a social and solidarity workshop in the Basque Country.
But that’s not all : the leashes are also repairable ! Like our boards, they can be dismantled because they’re made up of a cord and a strap. So if they break, you only need to change the cord. Using a fin spanner, the old cord is unscrewed in a matter of seconds and replaced by the new one. No more waste !
Finally, backsurf is committed to the environment by using recycled materials : The strap, for example, is made from natural rubber and recycled polyester !
Simwax : the Wax made from beeswax
Simon, a passionate surfer, is behind this great initiative ! His product is 100% ecological, biodegradable and environmentally friendly.
What does it contain ? Beeswax, Landes pine resin and various natural materials.
As for production, it is 100% made in France. Everything is made by hand in the Landes region between Moliets and Mimizan.
Three temperatures are available on the website: Cold 10-15°C, Cool 15-21°C and Warm 18-24°C !
