The Newave mini-Malibu is the ultimate all-round board. Its wide width offers good stability, ideal for perfecting your skills, while its thin rails and rocker allow you to have fun in hollow waves.
Thanks to the Newave binding system, you can store your longboard in a suitable backpack, take it anywhere, and assemble it in less than 1 minute on the beach.
The Mini-Malibu is designed for beginner to intermediate surfers and is perfect for waves up to 2m.
Newave boards are made from 30kg/m3 EPS foam, fiberglass and epoxy resin. These high-quality materials ensure the board’s rigidity.
The Newave fastening system is made from PA12, a high-performance polyamide specially designed for applications requiring excellent mechanical strength. It is commonly known as Nylon, the same material used in fishnets.
Fiber patches ensure bonding and good stress transmission between the various elements of the board.

The mini-malibu is ideal for intermediate surfers: it will accompany them throughout their progression. At the start, its wide width provides good stability, ideal for perfecting your takeoff and learning to steer. Then, its fine rail, tail lift and large nose rocker allow you to take off on any wave, even the most hollow. Finally, the round tail and thruster fin promise great turns.
The longboard is compatible with the Newave mini-malibu: reverse the tail or nose and discover new shapes!
To begin with, our boards are intrinsically respectful of the environment, since they allow you to choose more virtuous means of transport: 500km by car avoided and the board is carbon neutral!
Secondly, we have designed our boards to minimize their manufacturing impact. For a start, unlike most boards, our process ensures that no polystyrene or plastic is wasted. Finally, we use bio-sourced epoxy resin to reduce the impact of lamination, which is the most polluting stage in the manufacture of a surfboard.
To order the board and the backpack, you can either order the bag in the acessories or get the full pack with fins and leash in the surfboard section.
No more broken boards or fines on the train. Once stored in their backpack, our detachable surfboards are ready for any surf trip.
All Newave surfboards are compatible with the backpack. Designed specifically for travel, you can put your board, a couple of extra pieces of equipment, your wetsuit and all your small belongings in the backpack. Once the side straps are tightened, everything is compacted and nothing moves, preventing the board from getting damaged during transport.
