Newave demountable boards, the complete guide

Les planches démontables Newave, le guide complet

With Newave's takedown surfboards, we've reimagined surfer gear. No more boards piling up in the garage or costing a fortune to transport, thanks to our modular, takedown system. Going away for the weekend? Just pack a bag and choose whether you prefer a mini Malibu, a fish, or a longboard.

This guide presents all the Newave modular and demountable boards and the possible combinations from our interchangeable parts.

The goal: to help you put together a lightweight quiver that is optimized and perfectly suited to your surfing style.

You often hear about quiver , but you don't know exactly what it means? Don't panic.

In surfing, a quiver simply refers to all the boards that a surfer owns.

How to build a quiver with Newave takedown boards?

One of the great advantages of Newave boards is their modularity. Thanks to our "W" binding system, one piece can be combined with another to create a new shape adapted to different conditions.

Let's imagine you start with a Mini Malibu 7'6 to progress in small waves. By simply adding a longboard-style tail, you get an 8'2" Egg board that's faster to paddle, perfect for lighter days. Then, by replacing the nose with that of a Longboard 9'0, you gain even more stability and fluidity in your turns and you can also reach the nose of your board with cross steps.

With 7 pieces, it is possible to create up to 9 different boards. The Newave system allows you to adapt your surfing to the evolution of your level, your preferences, or the conditions of the day — all without multiplying your boards.
